Taneem Ahad has been working with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) since 2005 and is currently an Operations Officer based in Nairobi for IFC’s Creating Market Advisory unit in Africa. He leads the investment climate program in Somalia and team member of IFC’s Kakuma Kalobeyei Challenge Fund (KKCF) in Kenya.
Taneem possesses 15 years of experience on design and hands-on implementation of investment climate reforms across multiple regions. During his tenure at IFC, he led IFC’s engagement on business regulations and Doing Business, trade facilitation, investment climate reforms in refugee context, tourism development, land administration reforms and technology enabled services. Taneem holds a master’s in economics from McMaster University (Canada) and a bachelor’s in economics from York University (Canada).
