Tanmeet Thukral is a Private Sector Specialist at the World Bank. She is involved in analytical and advisory services, lending operations, and policy dialogue – particularly in areas that foster innovation, infrastructure development, and job creation. Her core expertise spans value chain analysis, cluster development strategies, investment facilitation, PPP frameworks, and the design of innovative business strategies. At the World Bank, she is actively engaged in developing business models and policies that foster research and development, as well as entrepreneurship. She also contributes to strengthening the policy and business environment needed to enable and mobilize private capital.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Tanmeet worked with leading global strategy consulting firms, advising a wide spectrum of clients across the public and private sectors. Her work centered on sustainable growth in the energy, infrastructure, and climate domains, contributing to both policy frameworks and implementation strategies.
Tanmeet holds a Master’s degree in Economics from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Delhi. She is deeply passionate about leveraging market mechanisms for public good and believes in the transformative power of cross-sectoral collaboration and innovation-led development.
