Tanu Kumar is a Governance Specialist in the Public Institutions and Data Analytics unit of the World Bank’s Institutions Global Department. She has worked on the global report and observatory and is also working on country diagnostics. Prior to joining the Bank, Tanu was an assistant professor in the Department of Politics and Economics at Claremont Graduate University in California. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and specializes in governance and accountability, with experience in South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
