Tata is a Digital Development Specialist in the World Bank Digital Development Global Practice. He joined the team in 2021 and focuses on digital development initiatives in the Central Africa region, supporting diverse investment operations, advisory services and analytics aimed at fostering the digital sector in these countries. His work touches mostly on digital strategies, policies and regulation, digital infrastructure, platforms and data governance, skills and entrepreneurship.
Before joining the Bank, Tata was a public policy consultant with Technopolis Group, where he worked to foster innovation policy across sectors in Africa, particularly through the areas of entrepreneurship, information technology, SME development, startups and incubation policy, and higher education. He also carried out impact evaluations, developed strategies, and managed projects and technical advisory services for governments, regional institutions, international organizations, universities, research centers and corporations in Africa.
