Tatiana Skalon is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist with the World Bank Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance team in the Financial Services Sector. She works with countries in Europe and Central Asia and East Asia and Pacific to strengthen their financial preparedness for natural disasters, focusing on sovereign risk finance, fiscal resilience, disaster risk-based budgeting and property catastrophe insurance. She holds an MSc in Comparative Law, Economics and Finance and a PhD in Risk and Emergency Management from IUSS Pavia.
