Tatyana Ponomareva is a Senior Investment Climate Specialist in the World Bank Office in the Russian Federation. Tatyana focuses on business climate reforms, in particular on the topics covered by the WBG’s Doing Business ranking, and supports a dialogue between the Russian Government and the World Bank in this area. Prior to that, Ms. Ponomareva represented the subnational Doing Business project in Russia in 2009 and 2012, was engaged in research for investment and advisory projects at the International Finance Corporation, and since 2000 has led projects of the WBG’s Investment Climate Advisory Service (FIAS) to identify and remove administrative barriers to investment and business development in Russia. Ms. Ponomareva graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from California State University (Hayward).
