Tehmina Shaukat Khan contributes to the World Bank's annual flagship publication, Global Economic Prospects, as the main author of the global outlook (Chapter 1). Her other key responsibilities include macroeconomic analysis and forecasting for high-income economies, and preparing just-in-time briefs that inform senior management on global economic developments and other topical issues She has also previously worked as the main regional analyst for the Middle East and North Africa region. Prior to this, she worked in the World Bank's East Asia and Pacific unit as a country economist for Mongolia and the Philippines. Before joining the World Bank, Tehmina worked at the IMF in the Fiscal Affairs Department, and as an international economist at Capital Economics, a leading macroeconomic consultancy in London, covering Japan and India. Tehmina has an M.Phil and D.Phil degree in Economics from Nuffield College, Oxford University and an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of London.
