Thomas Spoorenberg is Population Affairs Officer with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. He has over 15 years of research and international experience in estimating and projecting population and demographic indicators, and in developing methods and standards to strengthen technical and institutional capacity to assess and use data in policymaking for sustainable development. Thomas currently works in the Demographic Analysis Section, United Nations Population Division.
