Thomas Verbeet leads the Integrated Data Base Unit at the World Trade Organization. He oversees the collection, transformation, and dissemination of data and analyzes countries' notifications concerning tariff schedules, trade data, and preferential duty arrangements. As part of the Trade Policy Statistics Section of the Economics Research and Statistics Division, he has contributed to various publications on trade and development, including studies on market access for developing and least-developed countries, preferential trade arrangements and their utilization, duty-free quota-free treatment, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He has conducted research on global value chains and medical supply chains. Additionally, he regularly contributes to technical training activities.
