Mr. Bostock has been at the World Bank since 2011 as Senior Fisheries and Oceans Specialist within the Global Partnership for Fisheries (PROFISH) where he has helped redefine the Bank’s engagement in sustainable and productive fisheries. He has been active in promoting lesson learning from fisheries best practice to guide management reforms and improved sector contributions to shared growth. Through NEPAD and the Africa Union, Mr. Bostock has led Bank support for African fisheries policy reform. He leads a new Ocean Partnership Project to design pilot investments in tuna and other fisheries based on shared highly migratory stocks. Prior to joining PROFISH, he was Adviser to UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) where he led a wide-ranging program on international fisheries policy focused including coordination the UK’s inputs to Ministerial High Seas Task Force on Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing.
