Togzhan Alibekova is a water resources management specialist in the Europe and Central Asia Region, currently based in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. Togzhan is working on the water projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. In 2013, she joined the World Bank’s Central Asia Regional Office to support the operations in water, energy, climate change, and agriculture. She joined the Water Department in 2019 as a program liaison officer to manage and coordinate the Central Asia Water and Energy Program. Prior to joining the World Bank, Togzhan worked in international law firms and the Academy for Educational Development.
