Tom de Vries is a Digital Innovation expert at the World Bank with 15+ years’ experience in leading teams and partnerships in delivering innovative disruptive technology programs, solutions, and products with value globally. Currently he supports global teams in the domains of Water, Climate Resilience and Procurement as well as governments in Africa, South Asia and the Caribbean by providing technical and strategic assistance around the design, approach, and effective operationalization of digital and disruptive technologies. He has extensive experience in big data and analytics, intelligent systems, geospatial technology, and the application of mobile and sensor technology with solid knowledge in digital transformation, the digital economy and innovative business models. Tom holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
