Tomi joined the World Bank in Indonesia in April 2016, having worked in the UNDP for 4.5 years. Previously he was a journalist with BBC Indonesia, Al Jazeera English and Thomson Reuters. Tomi has a Masters in International Politics from SOAS, University of London and he earned his Bachelor degree in journalism from Monash University, in Melbourne.
