Toni Eliasz is a Private Sector Specialist in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Unit of the World Bank Group's Trade & Competitiveness Global Practice. Toni is currently accelerating start-up ecosystems in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. He is a seasoned manager, private sector development consultant and entrepreneur with close to 20 years of experience in the mobile, Internet and ICT industries. Before joining the World Bank, Toni co-founded and headed two successful organizations in South Africa, an ICT enterprise, and business model catalyst Ungana-Afrika, as well as MoMoJoburg, the first African chapter of Mobile Monday, which is a global networking platform for key mobile industry visionaries and professionals. Before his years in Africa, he held various management positions in the Finnish software industry. He earned an M.Sc. from the University of Helsinki.
