Tony is a Disaster Risk Management Consultant in the East Asia Pacific Region’s Urban and Disaster Risk Management team. He is experienced in the field of architecture, urban design and planning, building construction, and geospatial data analysis. Ever since joining the World Bank in 2017, he has worked on several projects across Indonesia, namely on the establishment of municipal spatial data infrastructures, social inclusion through universal accessibility in buildings and neighborhood infrastructure design, and post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction project in Central Sulawesi, where he coordinates the technical prior review process of proposed projects. He is also the co-author of the upcoming Indonesia Private City case studies, which explores the potential contribution of private sector actors in Indonesia’s urban development. Prior to joining the Bank, Tony was a project architect in a private construction and urban design firm. He holds a bachelor degree in architecture from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia and a masters in regional planning from Cornell University, US.
