Tosin Gbadegesin is an Economist & Data Scientist in Gender and Economic Inclusion Department at IFC. He leads the development and management of the Private Sector Gender and Economic Inclusion Data Hub, overseeing data collection, integration, and quality assurance, collaborating with stakeholders and IT teams to enhance platform scalability and usability. Prior to this role, Tosin worked across multiple departments at the World Bank Group, including the Development Economics Chief Statistician, Development Impact Infrastructure Unit, Corporate Portfolio Management, and the Economic Policy Research Department.

He has contributed to numerous impactful publications and reports, including the Policy Research Working Paper on climate shocks and food security in Afghanistan, the IFC report on repurposing power markets for sustainable and affordable energy, the IPC Acute Food Insecurity Analysis for Afghanistan, the G20 Compact Monitoring Report, and the journal article on evaluating the economic impact of the G20 Compact Initiative. His research interests are in energy and environmental economics, health economics and economic development. Prior to his tenure at the World Bank Group, Tosin worked as a Research Fellow with the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research & Nigeria Economist Summit Group. 

He also worked as a Data/Research Analyst at organizations such as the Edelman Global Advisory, the International Institute for Local Development, DC Sustainable Energy Utility, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
