Tounwende Alain Sawadogo, joined the Digital Development Global Practice, in 2019 as Senior Digital Development Specialist. He currently leads the Digital Development Engagement in Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Chad. He delivered with multi-GP teams the Mali Digital Economy Diagnostic – complemented with Technical Assistances - and the Chad Digital Economy Diagnostic. He is currently leading the implementation of digital IPFs in WB&G and Niger (as TTL), the preparation of new IPF in Burkina Faso and Chad (as TTL). Previously, Alain contributed to the development of national Digital strategies in Western and Central Africa. Alain has also overseen the operational direction of major projects on behalf of International Telecommunication Union, GSMA, UEMOA, UNESCO in the performance of his duties at ESMT. Alain holds a PhD in Innovation Management from Institut Mines-Télécom - France, Master on Digital Project Management, and a Master in economic science.
