Trina Haque is the Regional Director for Human Development in the Western and Central Africa Region at the World Bank. She joined the Bank as a Young Professional and since then has held various positions including Lead Economist in Human Development in Africa as well as Middle East & North Africa Regions; Country Operations Advisor in Latin America and the Caribbean Region; and, most recently, Sector Manager/Practice Manager in West and Central Africa and South Asia Regions. Trina has led numerous financing operations and analytics including poverty assessments and PERs and published on the topic of covariate shocks. An economist by training, Trina holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and a BA from Wellesley College.
