Tsuyoshi has been the World Bank Group Advisor to the Executive Director representing Japan since January 2020. He has over 15 years of technical and managerial experience delivering development projects and programs in developing countries at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). This includes extensive experience in infrastructure projects such as power, water, sanitation, and creating governance mechanisms for public-private partnerships.
Tsuyoshi holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Keio University and a master’s in economics from Toyo University, Japan. In addition, he is a Ph.D. student in Public Policy and Public Administration at Florida State University. His research interests are social equity, collaborative governance, organizational behavior, and municipal fiscal health.
