Turkan Mukhtarova is a governance consultant and survey co-lead at the Bureaucracy Lab, a joint initiative of the Global Governance Practice and the Development Research Group at the World Bank. Before joining the Lab, Turkan was a research faculty member at Georgetown University, focusing on the intersection of labor market inequalities and gender. Previously, she has worked with the government of Azerbaijan. Turkan holds MS in Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University, concentrating on economics and social development.
