Uri is a Senior Urban Specialist at the World Bank with 20 years of experience in municipal finance, urban planning, and international development. He joined the Bank as a YP in 2004 and has supported national and local governments in a dozen of countries in Latin America, Africa, and South and East Asia in the areas of municipal finance and urban service delivery and infrastructure. He has managed a portfolio of over 1 billion dollars in operational support and has led flagship analytical projects on topics of city finance and sustainability. He has been based in Washington DC, Maputo, and New Delhi and is currently in Singapore supporting the urban programs in China, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Uri holds an MSc in Public Policy from the London School of Economics and a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
