Urška Zrinski is a Senior Public Sector Specialist at the World Bank, Latin America and Caribbean, Governance Global Practice. Her work focuses on strengthening climate resilience and gender responsiveness of public financial management (PFM) systems in the Caribbean. Before she was with the Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) Secretariat where she was leading the Secretariat’s efforts in promoting the use of PEFA to collect information on gender responsiveness of PFM and was anchoring the Secretariat’s research initiatives. Prior to joining the Secretariat, she was Chief Program Officer at the Center of Excellence in Finance, leading knowledge and learning programs for public finance officials in Southeast and Eastern Europe. Urška holds a PhD from the University of Ljubljana and a master’s degree from King’s College London, University of London. Her research is focused on international development cooperation effectiveness and PFM performance.
