Utpal Raj Misra is a Governance Specialist for the World Bank’s Governance Global Practice and co-leads the Citizen Engagement Secretariat. He has more than ten years’ experience in Social Accountability, Transparency and Anti-Corruption issues. He advises project teams and partners on Citizen Engagement tools, including participatory budgeting, third party monitoring, citizen scorecard and use of ICT enhanced Feedback approaches. In the past, he has worked on country diagnostics and leadership programs, led anti-corruption program for youth, and coordinated efforts to mainstream ICT supported feedback systems. Prior to joining the World Bank, he had varied work experience with different CSOs, Think Tanks and media.
