Valentina Costa joined the Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS) team in 2017. Her primary area of research is development, with a focus on labor, gender, and youth. As a member of the LSMS team, she provides technical advice on large-scale multi-topic household surveys to improve data collection and survey methodologies on women and youth employment, aspirations, education, and disability. She holds a M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Rome La Sapienza and a Ph.D. in Economics (major in Gender) from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
