Vandana Bhatnagar is an Institutional Development Specialist at the Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) in India, where she has been associated with design and implementation of strategies aimed at strengthening accountability for service outcomes in the urban water supply and sanitation sector. These have included interventions related to performance monitoring, regulation of services, performance improvement planning, citizen accountability and inclusive service delivery arrangements. Trained as an economist, she did her Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Vandana has worked extensively on urban and environmental management issues, prior to which she worked in the banking and financial services sector.
