Mr. Vashkar Bhattacharjee is a person with visual disabilities primarily engaged as a Program Manager at the Young Power in Social Action (YPSA). Mr. Bhattacharjee is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of disability and ICT related activities in YPSA. He serves as focal person for the Digital Accessible Information System (DAISY) in Bangladesh. In addition to being selected as the Country Representation of Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environment (GAATES), Mr. Vashkar has also worked as a national consultant with the web accessibility activities of the Access to Information (A2I) Program under the Prime Minister’s Office. He specializes in issues of disability and development, ICT for development, e-accessibility and information accessibility for people with disability. He had completed his MA from University of Chittagong.
