Vellore Arthi is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Economics at the University of Essex. Her work focuses on gender, intra-household allocation, human capital formation, and public health in both developing-country and historical settings. She holds a doctorate from the University of Oxford, and has served as a consultant in the World Bank’s Development Research Group.
