Verónica Navas is an economist with more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors, specializing in the development of the productive sector, particularly in manufacturing, agribusiness, and services. She currently leads the "Upstream & Advisory" strategy at IFC for Latin America and the Caribbean, where she drives technical advisory and pre-investment structuring projects in key industries. At IFC, she has led programs that promote sustainable investments in manufacturing and agribusiness in countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Central America, with an emphasis on value chain development, innovation, and sustainability. In her current role, she promotes early-stage projects aimed at closing market gaps, improving productivity, and generating quality jobs, aligned with climate and social objectives. Her team's work in the region's manufacturing industry is aligned with global trends in Industry 4.0, bioeconomy, and circular agribusiness, key elements for productive transformation in Colombia.
Previously, Verónica was a partner at the economic consulting firm Econcept and an advisor for Global Source Partners, where she provided macroeconomic analysis to international investors. Additionally, she served as an expert economic witness in international litigation related to economic policy and sectoral regulation.
Verónica holds an M.Sc. in Economics and Public Fiscal Policy from the London School of Economics (LSE) and an M.A. in Public Policy Management from Georgetown University.
