Veronika Zavacka is a fomer consultant in the then-International Trade Department of The World Bank. She has a PhD in International Trade from the Graduate Institute for International Studies in Geneva. Her research focuses on the behavior of international trade under exceptional circumstances, such as financial crises and uncertainty shocks. Prior to coming to the World Bank, she worked for two years at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and also spent short spells at the European Central Bank and UNDP.
