Viktoriya Ereshchenko leads the working group that develops Utility connections topic in the Business Enabling Environment project. She joined the DECIG in March 2018, where she worked on and led the Getting Electricity indicator of the Doing Business report. Before joining the World Bank Group, Viktoriya was involved in a research project funded by the World Bank Group on ‘Deep Trade Agreements’, for which she co-authored a research paper on Government Procurement. She also worked as a Research Assistant with the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Prior to this, Viktoriya worked for a consulting firm in New Delhi, India, on international development issues; she also worked with international organizations in Geneva in the field of international trade and economics. Viktoriya holds a master’s in international Law and Economics from the World Trade Institute in Switzerland, and she also holds a Master’s Degree in Economics (International trade) from Saint Petersburg State University in Russia. Viktoriya speaks Russian.
