Vincenzo D’Alberti, engineer and PhD in Energy, is a member of the Evaluation Unit at the Department for the planning and coordination of economic policy of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. He is one the most accredited experts in sustainable development in Italy.
He offers his technical support to the inter-ministerial committee for economic planning and sustainable development (CIPESS) and to the inter-ministerial committee for ecological transition (CITE) where he collaborates in the working groups for the drafting of the Ecological Transition Plan.
Recently he has worked at the European Economic and Social Committee, on the evaluation of the European Strategy for Biodiversity, fundamental pillar of the European Green Deal.
He was Vice President of the Technical Committee for Greenhouse Gas Reduction for the Italian Government and deals with policies and measures regarding EU agreements for the reduction of greenhouse gases and the fight against Climate Change. He participated to the United Nations Conference on Climate Change.
He has been a consultant to various public administrations on issues relating to environmental assessment in the context of various European programs as well as the scientific technical coordinator of projects operating on international cooperation programs.
Author of several scientific publications in national and international books and magazines concerning Energy Planning, the Analysis of Regional Potential for the exploitation of Renewable Energy, the Analysis of the Impacts of Energy Policies and Climate Change.
