Vinh Quang Dang is a Senior Private Sector Specialist at the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation (FCI) Global Practice based in Ha Noi, Viet Nam. He works on promoting business regulatory reforms and entrepreneurship development. Before joining the World Bank in 2022, he worked for various government agencies (Ministry of Planning and Investment and Ministry of Industry and Trade), development projects (VNCI, PCI and LinkSME), and academic institution (Vietnam Japan University VNU Hanoi). He has also worked as an independent consultant for ADB, GIZ, ILO, UK FCDO. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from Brunel University, London, the UK with a focus on institutional economics. He has published in international journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance and Crime, Law, and Social Change. He has recently coauthored the report titled “Promoting Innovative Entrepreneurship in Viet Nam: A Country Diagnostic.”
