Vladimir Tsirkunov is a consultant for the World Bank with expertise in hydrometeorological services. He has previously worked for the World Bank as the team leader for hydrometeorological and early warning systems global program at the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), and has worked on projects related to the preparation, appraisal and operational supervision of environmental investments, technical assistance and Global Environment Facility projects. He has over 40 years of scientific, applied technical and project management experience in environmental and natural resource management. Prior to joining the World Bank, he was the Head of the Laboratory of the Supervision of the USSR System of Hydrochemical Monitoring and Water Quality Data Collection.
