Wael A. Alsufyani, MD, is a preventive medicine and public health consultant at Saudi Public Health Authority (Weqaya) . He is currently the executive director of Environmental Public Health department and Nominated National Contact Point of WHO Global Chemicals and Health Network. Prior to joining Weqaya, he worked at Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH) as a Head of Food and Chemical Safety program. He represented the Ministry at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio +20) in Brazil 2012 and Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm conventions (BRS) conference in WHO headquarters, Geneva, 2018. His research and publications focus on the impact of environmental factors on public health.
