Wanli Fang is a Senior Urban Development Specialist with the Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience & Land Global Practice of the World Bank. Her specialty includes sustainable urbanization, economic impact evaluation of infrastructure investment, agglomeration economies, municipal finance, climate financing, spatial planning, economic development planning, and brownfield redevelopment, etc. Prior to the World Bank, she worked as an economist at the World Resources Institute based in Washington DC, conducting economic analyses and policy research to promote sustainable cities in major emerging economies. She holds a PhD in urban and regional economics from MIT, U.S.A., an MS and a BE degree in City Planning from Peking University, P.R. China.
