Weijen is Senior Financial Specialist at the World Bank’s Climate Change Group where he is focal point for East Asia operations. He is also joint lead for the Climate Action Peer Exchange (CAPE). Weijen was formerly Chief Specialist at the Singapore Ministry of Finance, with responsibilities for long-term resilience and mitigation planning, which included carbon tax and clean energy financing. He has worked in various aspects of Sustainability since joining the World Bank Group, including concessional finance for private sector investments at IFC, ESS risk review at MIGA, and as the World Bank’s focal point for the Green Climate Fund. Weijen was senior adjunct at the Energy Studies Institute of the National University of Singapore between 2011-2015.
