Dr. Weiping Wang is an associate professor at the School of National Safety and Emergency Management, Beijing Normal University. His research interests include disaster risk assessment and resilient infrastructure, emergency evacuation and management, machine learning and big data research, complex system modeling and simulation. Dr. Wang holds Ph.D. in Physical Geography from Beijing Normal University, China. He was an associate professor at the School of Traffic and Transportation, Beijing Jiaotong University from July 2019 to December 2021. Dr. Wang was a visiting scholar at the Center for Polymer Studies and Department of Physics, Boston University from 2017 to 2018.
