Wenyu Jia is a Sr. Urban Transport Specialist with the World Bank and has worked with the Europe and Central Asia Region and the Ethiopia and South Africa Region. She leads transport operations, analytics and policy work in urban transport, railways and local roads in Ethiopia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Georgia, South Africa and Uzbekistan. Prior to joining the World Bank, she was Manager for Systems and Capital Planning at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. She received master’s degrees in Transportation Engineering and City Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.
