Winnie Wang is the Lead Infrastructure Specialist and Program Lead for Central Asia region with the World Bank Group.
Professionally trained in transport planning, she has successfully led and implemented diverse and large-scale operations including urban mobility, road connectivity, railway reforms and logistics improvements in Europe, East Asia and Pacific, and South Asia regions. Winnie was also the co-lead of the Global Knowledge group for Inclusive Urban Mobility and Accessibility during her tenure with the Transport Global Unit at the World Bank.
Prior to joining the Bank, Winnie worked at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) for Metrorail planning including the expansion of silver line and the capital improvement program. She also worked at Transport for London (TfL) for intermodal transport planning with big data application. Winnie is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
