Wissam Harake is an Economist in the World Bank Group's Macro and Fiscal Management Global Practice. He has a particular interest in international finance and monetary economics of fragile and conflict states. Prior to his most recent stint with the Bank Group, Wissam was an economist with the Institute of International Finance for two and half years. He holds a master's and PhD in Economics from American University, as well as an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Wissam is based in the World Bank Group's Beirut office.
