Dr. Esther Chiew is a Consultant at the World Bank in the Transport & ICT Global Practice in Washington DC. She is currently working on projects related to intermodal freight transportation and logistics, and port-hinterland connectivity. Esther has Ph.D. from Cornell University in Transportation Systems Engineering, with an additional focus on Transportation Economics. She has also worked on designing and programming economic simulation analysis tools and facility location models for the private sector. Her other areas of interest include incorporating behavioral economics to engineering models with the aim of driving policy making and analysis.
