Xun Yan is a World Bank economist who has worked for the Africa Chief Economist Office, the Governance GP, DECRG and MTI. She is currently the country economist for Mali of the Macroeconomics Trade and Investment Global Practice, based in Washington DC. Prior to joining the Bank, Xun taught at London School of Economics (LSE) and worked at Winton Capital Management (UK) and HSBC. She has published on public finance, industrial policy, firm behavior, economic history and political economy. Xun holds a PhD from the London School of Economics, Masters degrees in Economics from Sciences Po Paris and LSE, and a BA degree from Hong Kong Baptist University.
