Yannis is a Senior Public Sector Specialist at the World Bank. In this capacity, Yannis has supported projects and analytical work in Senegal, Guinea-Bissau and Mauritania. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked at the African Development Bank as an economist and governance specialist, and at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development before that. Yannis holds masters degrees from the London School of Economics in Political Economy and from Sciences-Po Paris in Development Studies. He also completed a post-graduate diploma from the University of London in Public Financial management, and a BA from University College London in Economics and East European Studies. His research interests lie in the field of taxation, political economy, and economic governance.
