Yaroslav Eferin is a consultant in a digital development unit at the World Bank, based in Moscow, Russia. He has been responsible for the projects related to digital economy development at supranational, national, and regional levels covering digital economy assessments, analysis of state data policies, digital platforms reviews and others. Within the World Bank, Yaroslav has worked as a key analyst on digital development projects in the ECA and MENA regions. Among others, Yaroslav is a co-author of the World Bank Report “Competing in the Digital Age: Policy Implications for the Russian Federation.”
Before joining the World Bank, Yaroslav worked for Russian Venture Company in Moscow and for the Centre for Social Innovation in Vienna, analyzing science, technology and innovation policies in developed and emerging countries. Yaroslav holds a postgraduate degree in economics, an MA degree in governance in science, technology and innovation and a BA degree in world economy from the National Research University Higher School of Economics. He speaks Russian, English and German.
