Yele Batana is a Senior Economist with the Poverty and Equity Unit in the World Bank’s Africa Region, leading statistical operations in the two Congo, after working on Burkina Faso, Mali and Guinea. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Economics and Development from the Université Laval. Yele has led or co-led several analytical works within the Bank, including the Guinea Systematic Country Diagnostic. He is also author or co-author of several papers published in international journals and edited books in the areas of poverty and development.
