Yoki Okawa is an Economist in the Prospects Group of the World Bank, monitoring the Europe and Central Asia region. Previously, he has contributed to publications of the International Monetary Fund and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. He also worked on debt management projects for Jordan and Mongolia with the Japan International Cooperation Agency. His has published several research papers on international finance and macroeconomics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia and B.E. in Mathematical Engineering from the University of Tokyo.
