Yongyang Cai is a Senior Research Scientist at the Becker Friedman Institute and the Center for Robust Decision Making on Climate and Energy Policy at the University of Chicago. He is also a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University. His main research interests include computational economics, climate change, environmental and resource economics, computational finance, and integrated assessment models. His current research focuses on dynamic and stochastic integration of climate and economics. His work has been published in journals including Nature Climate Change, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Journal of the European Economic Association. He holds an MS in Financial Mathematics and a PhD in Computational and Mathematical Engineering, both from Stanford University.
