Yue Li, a Chinese national, is a Senior Economist at the Office of the Chief Economist for Infrastructure at the World Bank Group, which she joined in 2010 through the Young Professional Program. Her expertise spans international economics, firm dynamics, economic geography, and urban economics, with academic publications in the Journal of International Economics and the Journal of Urban Economics. Yue has held various roles within the World Bank Group, including positions in the research department, economists' network, Office of the Chief Economist for South Asia, and the global investment climate unit. From 2021 to 2024, she was a Senior Economist of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, leading the research function of its Economics Department. Yue holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers University, Master's degrees in Economics and Political Science from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor's degree from Peking University.
