Yves Barthélemy is part of the World Bank's Disruptive Technologies Team, where he serves as a geospatial and resilience consultant. He is supporting several Bank operations in the use of digital technologies for disaster risk management.
Yves has been leading Drone for Development study tours for Ethiopia, the Seychelles, and Zambia. He is also team lead on the Zanzibar Mapping Initiative, one of the largest drone-mapping projects. He coordinated the Open Cities projects in Zanzibar and Abidjan and was part of the organizing team of Understanding Risk: West and Central Africa Conference. Yves is working on projects that create opportunities for local youth while also producing high-quality digital information.
