Yvonne Byanjeru is a Consultant at the World Bank Education Global Practice, where she supports the EdTech global team working on issues related to technology in education. Her work focuses on designing innovative mechanisms for financing EdTech and tackling market and procurement barriers for adoption of EdTech. She also supports the Continuous and Accelerated Learning (CAL) program for which she is responsible for program coordination and management and budget monitoring, tracking and reporting.
She is passionate about women and girls empowerment and the intersection of skills and technology and has co-designed the African Women in EdTech initiative to build capacity and bring more women into the EdTech space. She also worked with the Fragility, Conflict and Violence (FCV) Unit where she focused on operational research for projects in FCV contexts, improving service delivery to displaced populations, trust fund management and program management. Yvonne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Evansville, and a Master’s Degree in Finance from American University.
